CHRIS BLADEN

Chris, an avid fly-fisherman and birder, has honed his meticulous eye for detail through close encounters with fish and birds. Growing up with a deep appreciation for nature, he began carving fish in his teens. After a career in dental technology, Chris transitioned seamlessly into creating highly detailed bronze wildlife sculptures.

Each piece starts with an in-depth study of form and environment, and he uses various clay mediums, including locally sourced riverbank clay. Chris's work aims to inspire an appreciation for marine and bird life, blending true-to-life representation with abstract elements. His sculptures not only capture the essence of the natural world but also evoke a profound sense of connection and conservation, urging viewers to cherish and protect these vital ecosystems.
